Company Commander, Company D, 3rd AA Bn
1st Lt. Shane Bowling

First Lieutenant Shane Bowling graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a B.S. in Political Science in May 2013 and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant. 

His first assignment was Company D, 3D Assault Amphibian Battalion in Twentynine Palms, California and reported for duty in May of 2014. During his time with Company D he served in the billets of Logistics Officer, Motor Transport Officer, Anti-Terror Officer, Environmental Control Officer, Executive Officer and Company Commander. 

In August 2016, First Lieutenant Bowling was deployed to Kuwait as part of the Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve Headquarters, J4, and served as the Material Readiness Officer.

In November 2016, First Lieutenant Bowling was assigned to Joint Special Operations Command in Iraq as an augmentee and served as the Logistics Cell Deputy and Officer-in-Charge, and supported forward units and partner forces in the Special Operations Joint Task Force area of responsibility. 

Decorations: Joint Service Commendation Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, National Defense Service Medal, Operation Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and the Expert Rifle (3rd Award) and Pistol Badge.
