Major General Ronald Bailey, the commanding general of 1st Marine Division, thanks retired Col. Jack Kelly, a founding member of the Marine Family Christmas Fund, for 500 gift cards they donated to the families of Marines. The gift cards totaled $50,000 and will be given out during the holiday season. This was the fifteenth year the fund supplied families of Camp Pendleton Marines with gifts, and it is the third year they gave gift cards. Tom Mulcahy, another founding member, said they transitioned from giving canned foods, toys, and clothing to handing out gift cards because it gave families more options and allowed them to purchased the items they needed. Bailey thanked the members of the Marine Family Christmas Fund for their hard work and continued support for Marines and their families.
