Letter from the Deployment Readiness Coordinator

Hello! My name is Jillian King and I have the distinct pleasure and honor of being the Deployment Readiness Coordinator (DRC) for the 3d Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion aka “The Wolf Pack”.

As your Deployment Readiness Coordinator, I am a liaison between the command and the families. I will be the one to pass battalion information in the marine/sailors absence to authorized contacts and a source for resources and referrals as needed. Lastly, and what I feel to be most important, the pairing of command and myself to ensure the marines/sailors AND their families are consistently "mission ready".

Being a family member to an active duty Marine or Sailor is challenging at best. My goal is to help family members build their support network while learning their way through the military maze, step by step when necessary, until hopefully they are able to become part of the support network for others themselves!
