HELMAND PROVINCE, Forward Operating Base Sangin, Afghanistan – Staff Sgt. Hoskie T. Attson, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technician, assigned to Company E, Task Force 2d Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force Afghanistan, and Farmington, N.M., native, cautiously uncovers the components of an improvised explosive device (IED) near Patrol Base Wishton in the Sangin District Center, Oct. 9.  The EOD Marines assigned to Echo Company have responded to more than 100 IEDs during their six months of operating in the Sangin area.
