Marines and sailors assigned to Task Force 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Combined Joint Task Force Phoenix, enjoy an Independence Day barbecue with coalition forces in the Helmand Province. Marines and sailors observed the national holiday to boost troop morale. A reinforced, light infantry battalion based out of the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif., TF 2/7 is currently operating in the Helmand and Farah provinces to train, mentor and advise the Afghan National Police in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
