Mann the Navy and Marine Medal for actions while serving at 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion in July of 2013. Mr.Mann put his own life at risk to save two fellow Marines during training in Camp Pendleton, California.

The exercise was part of the Anbar Province Security Force Tactical Conditioning Competition that gave Iraqi Army and Iraqi Police a chance to compete against each other and learn each other's strong points so they can work together to maintain the security of Iraq in the future.::r::::n::
