Thielen, who was the oldest Marine present, then passed a piece of cake to Cpl. Blake R. Smith (left), 19, motor transportation officer, RCT-5 who was the youngest Marine present.  This part of the ceremony symbolizes the passing of traditions from the older Marines to the younger Marines.
