Sgt. Jonathan J. Gray, 28, acting platoon sergeant and tank commander with 1st Platoon, Company A, 4th Tank Battalion, Regimental Combat Team 5, mounts his M2 .50 caliber machinegun onto its turret as he finishes prepping his tank for another mission at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, Sept. 26.  Gray is a reservist whose six years of experience as a tanker and leadership skills are valuable assets to his fellow Marines.  After finding out his unit was shorthanded for the upcoming deployment to western al-Anbar province of Iraq, Gray opted to extend to deploy with them.::r::::n::
