Mann the Navy and Marine Medal for actions while serving at 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion in July of 2013. Mr.Mann put his own life at risk to save two fellow Marines during training in Camp Pendleton, California.

Two fragmentation mines lie just feet away from a roadway Aug. 14 that Coalition forces frequently travel in western al-Anbar province, Iraq. Six mines were discovered by Route Clearance Platoon, Company A, 3rd Combat Engineer Battalion, Regimental Combat Team 5, as they marked two minefields along the Iraq/Syrian border. Once the first minefield was properly marked to NATOâ??s standards, the combat engineers detonated the six fragmentation mines.
