RAMADI, Iraq--Heath Herring, a professional fighter from Amarillo, Texas, with the Ultimate Fighting Championship, shows Seaman Andrew Chase, a 22-year-old corpsman from Eugene, Ore., with Regimental Combat Team 1, the proper way to fight and defend while in the clinch during a two-hour clinic on Camp Ramadi, Iraq, Oct. 19. Herring, Jorge Rivera and Joe Lauzon, all fighters in the UFC, are touring Iraq and hosting clinics for service members to come out and learn a few mixed martial arts moves from some of the pros.
