Mann the Navy and Marine Medal for actions while serving at 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion in July of 2013. Mr.Mann put his own life at risk to save two fellow Marines during training in Camp Pendleton, California.

Sangin, Afghanistan - Marines with 2nd Platoon, Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, patrol through Sangin, stopping to talk to the locals Feb. 27, 2012. The Marines searched for a suspected insurgent, detaining him later that day. The Marines talked to as many local people as they could, asking to speak to the head of each house.
