Mann the Navy and Marine Medal for actions while serving at 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion in July of 2013. Mr.Mann put his own life at risk to save two fellow Marines during training in Camp Pendleton, California.

A U.S. Army UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter lands for a medical evacuation July 2 involving 1st Marine Regiment. Medical evacuations are done quickly to prevent the enemy from firing on the aircraft as it lands. 1st Marine Regiment is deployed to the Helmand Province in support of International Security Assistance Force.

PATROL BASE GORGAK, Helmand province, Afghanistan - A U.S. Army UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter lands for a medical evacuation July 2 involving 1st Marine Regiment. Medical evacuations are done quickly to prevent the enemy from firing on the aircraft as it lands. 1st Marine Regiment is deployed to the Helmand Province in support of International Security Assistance Force.
