Mann the Navy and Marine Medal for actions while serving at 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion in July of 2013. Mr.Mann put his own life at risk to save two fellow Marines during training in Camp Pendleton, California.

RIVER VALLEY, Calif. - Marines with Company B, 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st Marine Division, hold security in a light armored vehicle during Deep Strike II in the River Valley, Calif., Sept. 12, 2017. Deep Strike II is an exercise that allowed Marines with 1st Marine Division to train with Marines from 1st Marine Logistics Group to combine the efforts of ground and logistics combat elements in one long range military operation.
