Mann the Navy and Marine Medal for actions while serving at 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion in July of 2013. Mr.Mann put his own life at risk to save two fellow Marines during training in Camp Pendleton, California.

During the exercise, Marines performed a night raid on a military operations in urban terrain town and detained possible enemy combatants. The MRX assessed the Marines' ability to execute their mission and coordinate logistics with their command element as they prepare to deploy with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit next year.
