Mann the Navy and Marine Medal for actions while serving at 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion in July of 2013. Mr.Mann put his own life at risk to save two fellow Marines during training in Camp Pendleton, California.

Petty Officer 2nd Class Jovan Delafuente, a corpsman with the Security Force Assistance Advisor Team, Regimental Combat Team 7, provides security while halted behind a compound during Operation New Hope, Kajaki, Afghanistan, Jan. 16. During the three-day operation, more than 100 ANA soldiers along with various Afghan National Security Forces elements cleared weapons caches, improvised explosive devices and enemy fighting positions from the area. Accompanying the ANA were 18 Marine advisors providing call for fires and tactical impute when needed.

Camp Leatherneck AF - Petty Officer 2nd Class Jovan Delafuente, a corpsman with the Security Force Assistance Advisor Team, Regimental Combat Team 7, provides security while halted behind a compound during Operation New Hope, Kajaki, Afghanistan, Jan. 16. During the three-day operation, more than 100 ANA soldiers along with various Afghan National Security Forces elements cleared weapons caches, improvised explosive devices and enemy fighting positions from the area. Accompanying the ANA were 18 Marine advisors providing call for fires and tactical impute when needed.
