Biography
Commander, Bravo Company, 3D Assault Amphibian Battalion
Captain Timothy F. Riemann

Upon graduation from MOS school, Captain Riemann reported to 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion as an Amphibious Assault Vehicle (AAV) Platoon Commander in Charlie Company.  In October of 2007, he and his Marines deployed to Al Anbar, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 6-08.

After returning from Iraq, he served as the AAV Platoon Commander for the Battalion Landing Team (BLT), 3d Battalion, 5th Marines (3/5) with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU).  He and his Marines conducted operations in Thailand, The Philippines, The Republic of Korea, and Australia.   In August 2009, BLT 3/5 retrograded back to Camp Pendleton, CA. 

Captain Riemann then reported to The Basic School in October 2009 where he served as a Staff Platoon Commander and Warfighting Instructor.  Upon the completion of his tour, he executed orders to Expeditionary Warfare School (EWS) in June of 2012.

Following the graduation of EWS in May of 2013, Captain Riemann reported to 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion and assumed his current billet as Company Commander of Headquarters and Service Company.

Captain Riemann’s personal decorations include a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with one gold star in lieu of second award.
