LtCol Greco was born in Mt. Kisco, New York in 1980. He is a 2003 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps. Following completion of the Basic Officer Course and Infantry Officer Course, he was assigned to the 1st Battalion 3d Marines where he served from April 2004 to August 2006 as a Rifle Platoon Commander and Company Executive Officer; deploying to Fallujah, Iraq and Kunar, Afghanistan. 

From September 2006 to April 2007, LtCol Greco augmented 1st Battalion 24th Marines and again deployed to Iraq as a Rifle Platoon Commander.  Upon re-deploying, he established the Marine Corps Base Hawaii Wounded Warrior Company and served as its Commanding Officer until December 2007.

From December 2007 to September 2010, LtCol Greco conducted training as a Middle East Foreign Area Officer.  He earned his Master of Arts in Regional Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School and completed the Arabic and Pashto language courses at the Defense Language Institute. 

From October 2010 to April 2011, he served as a Foreign Area Officer in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.  He then transferred to 3d Battalion, 5th Marines and assumed command of Company L in June 2011.  He commanded Company L while deployed on the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and relinquished command in June 2013.

From July 2013 to June 2014, LtCol Greco attended the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, where he earned a Masters in Military Studies. In July 2014 he reported to Plans, Policies, and Operations, Headquarters Marine Corps, where he served as the Middle East Desk Officer and Aide de Camp to the Deputy Commandant.

From June 2016 to May 2019, LtCol Greco served as the Commanding Officer of Recruiting Station Milwaukee. From July 2019 to July 2021, he served as a Brigade Advisor Team Leader with Marine Corps Training Mission, United Arab Emirates.  In August 2021, LtCol Greco reported to 5th Marine Regiment and assumed command of 3d Battalion 5th Marines on 13 January, 2022.

LtCol Greco’s personal decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with Combat “V”, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with combat “V”, the Combat Action Ribbon, and the Recruiting Ribbon.  He and his wife, the former Elena Leong of Danville, CA live in Lake Forest, CA, with their 9-year old daughter Aja.
