Lieutenant Colonel Jeremy J. Colwell

Lieutenant Colonel Colwell is a native of Texas.

He graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and was commissioned in May 2004. He completed Field Artillery Officer Basic Course at Fort Sill, OK in July 2005.

Lt. Col. Colwell’s operational experience includes Operation IRAQI FREEDOM 05-07, Operation IRAQI FREEDOM 08-01, Security Force Support to Special Operations Command Central Forward-Yemen, and as the J33 to NSOCC-A/SOJTF-A during Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.

Lt. Col. Colwell’s FMF assignments include a tour with 5th Battalion, 11th Marines, two tours with 3d Battalion, 11th Marines, and a tour with 11th Marine Regiment.  He is currently the 11th Marines Executive Officer.

His staff assignments include service as the Fire Support and Information Operations Representative for Tactical Training and Exercise Control Group and as a speechwriter for the 37th Commandant of the Marine Corps.

Lt. Col. Colwell is a graduate of the Marine Corps Expeditionary Warfare School and Marine Corps Command and Staff College where he earned the Master of Military Studies degree.
