Alfredo Mireles (right), mortarmen serving with 2nd Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, show David Cortez, a former corporal who served with the regiment during Operation Iraqi Freedom and a native of Moreno Valley, Calif., how the M-327 Expeditionary Fire Support System operates during a 10-year OIF reunion here, April 5, 2013. Veterans toured the regiment’s headquarters throughout the day, learned about modern weapon systems used by artillerymen and spoke with Marines who now serve with the regiment.
