NITE LAB Overview:

The Ground Combat Element (GCE) Night Imaging Threat Evaluation (NITE) Lab is modeled on the long-standing NITE Lab program offered in Marine Air Wings and is designed to ensure proper use and care of Night Vision Devices (NVD's), enhancing effectiveness and safety.  The course duration is four hours comprising two hours of classroom instruction followed by two hours of practical application.  Students will gain knowledge about the physiology of night vision, the fundamentals of night vision devices, and will apply these during the practical application portion.  Specifically, practical application includes tasks such as assembling and mounting NVD's, a visual acuity lane in a purpose built blacked-out space and an obstacle course.  Ultimately, students leave the course able to maximize the capability of their issued NVDs.

The NITE Lab will be available Tuesday-Thursday each week unless otherwise indicated on the calendar below. There will be a morning session from 0800-1200 and an afternoon session from 1300-1700 each day the lab is open.

-Units should submit their nominations via the "Submit a Nomination" tab facilitated by MS Forms.
