U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt. M. Trent Lowry/Released 081204-M-8127L-002.jpg
Dec 4, 2008
Lance Cpl. Allan Desruisseaux, a telephone system and personal computer repair technician with Provisional Rifle Platoon 3, Regimental Combat Team 5, patrols the streets of Rawah, Iraq, Dec. 4. Desruisseaux dropped from 326 pounds to his Marine Corps recruit training graduation weight of 189, but is gaining weight back, in the form of solid muscle due to his passion for weightlifting. Desruisseaux's determination to become a Marine, and the desire to prove naysayers wrong, inspired him to pursue and maintain a high level of physical conditioning.::r::::n::
