The Joint Sustainment Academy Southwest is a schoolhouse for the ANSF here at Helmand province. The instructors are sourced from International Security Assistance Force personnel and Afghan National Security Forces and their focus is on training the Afghans to train other Afghans. The JSAS instructs on leadership development, basic and advance weapons and combat training, policing skills, and vocational training.
