Sergeant Aaron Segovia, a squad leader with India Battery, 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 2, halts his squad during a routine patrol near the Kajaki Dam in Afghanistan, Sept. 28, 2010. Although, the 27-year-old Houston native is an artilleryman, he performs the duties of an infantry squad leader and leads patrols to protect the dam on a daily basis.
