First Lieutenant Nicholas Wagner, a liaison officer serving with 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, observes target positions from his concealed observation post before conducting a training and readiness examination during a live-fire exercise here, April 3, 2013. Wagner, a 31- year-old native of Adams, Wis., said concealment is one of the most important aspects of an observation post. Wagner and his forward observers are training to deploy with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit.
