Private First Class Jeff Pieters, a machine-gunner serving with 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, teaches Cpl. Robert Pradeep, a machine-gunner serving with 3rd Battalion Singapore Guards, the proper firing procedures of the M2 .50-caliber machine gun while conducting here, Dec. 3 during Exercise Valiant Mark 2012. Pieters, a 25 year-old native of Los Angeles, said the guardsmen quickly learned functions of the weapon system and were excited about applying it on a live-fire range.
