Lt. Col. Steven C. Allshouse

Lieutenant Colonel Steven C. Allshouse was born in Willingboro, N.J. In October 1992, he enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve and graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, SC, in October 1993. He served six years in the Marine Corps Reserve, while attending the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. After graduation, he worked as a third and fifth grade elementary school teacher for three years before accepting a commission as a Marine Corps second lieutenant in December 2001.

 

Lieutenant Colonel Allshouse attended The Basic School, Quantico, VA, and graduated with Bravo Company in July 2002. He then attended the US Army Field Artillery School at Fort Sill, OK, and graduated in January 2003.

 

His first assignment was with Battery E, 2d Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, 2d Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, NC. During this three-year tour, he held the billets of forward observer, fire direction officer, and battery executive officer. In January 2005, he took command of Headquarters Battery, while deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He also deployed in support of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit from June – December 2004.

 

After his tour with 2d Battalion, 10th Marines, Lieutenant Colonel Allshouse reported to 2d Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, 2d Marine Division, Camp Lejeune, NC, in September 2005. During his tour with 2d Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, he attended the Tactical Air Control Party Course, Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Atlantic, Norfolk, VA, and Airborne School, Fort Benning, GA. He held the billets of Joint Terminal Attack Controller/Fire Control Team Leader, and brigade operations officer, and he deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon completion of his tour with 2d Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, he attended the Expeditionary Warfare School, Quantico, VA, and graduated on the Commanding General Marine Corps Combat Development Command’s Honor Roll.

 

Completing Expeditionary Warfare School in May 2009, Lieutenant Colonel Allshouse reported to 10th Marines and was assigned to 1st Battalion, 10th Marines, where he served as the commanding officer of Battery C for two years and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from October 2011 - May 2012. Battery C executed split battery operations from firebases inside the Sangin Valley and provided fire support to units operating in the Sangin Valley and Kajaki Damn. Upon returning from deployment, he served as the assistant regimental training operations officer. In July 2012, he was selected to attend Command and Staff College, Marine Corps University, Quantico, VA, and graduated in June 2013.

 

Lieutenant Colonel Allshouse was subsequently assigned to Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, SC, in July 2013 and assumed the duties of the Headquarters and Service Battalion Executive Officer until June 2014. After a year, he transferred to the Recruit Training Regiment, where he assumed the duties of the 2d Recruit Training Battalion Executive Officer from June 2014 to June 2015. He was selected in June 2015 to serve as the Director of Drill Instructor School, Parris Island, SC, graduating eight classes of drill instructors through June 2017.

 

Lieutenant Colonel Allshouse was subsequently assigned to Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, CA, in August 2017 and assumed the duties as the 3d Battalion, 11th Marines Executive Officer from August 2017 through June 2018 and then as the Fires and Effects Officer in Charge and fires faculty instructor for Marine Corps Tactical Operations Group.
