Corporal Stephen Cook, a legal services specialist with Regimental Combat Team 7, is following his grandfather’s footsteps as a Marine and is currently serving in Helmand province, Afghanistan. “My grandfather had a lot of influence on me, and he was a Marine,†said Cook, a 21-year-old native of Walla Walla, Wash. Motivated to serve his country, Cpl. Aaron Clote, a native of Wentzville, Mo., enlisted in the Marine Corps one month after graduating high school. Now serving on his third deployment as a sniper and as the radio operator with the scout sniper team, Fox Company, 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 7, Clote assists the Afghan National Security Forces with the transition of responsibilities. - Motivated to serve his country, Cpl. Upon landing on the beach, the two forces worked together to suppress enemy role-players and secure the mock town.
