1stSgt L. H. Crabtree

First Sergeant Lloyd H. Crabtree, from Lakeport, California, was born on 23 January 1985. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in February 2003 and attended Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, California. Following his graduation, he reported to Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California for Marine Combat Training. Upon completion, he reported to Marine Corps Engineer School, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and attained the Military Occupational Specialty of 1371, Combat Engineer. During this assignment he was promoted to Private First Class.

In March 2004, First Sergeant Crabtree reported to 9th Engineer Support Battalion, Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley D. Bulter, Okinawa, Japan. In April 2004, First Sergeant Crabtree deployed to Thailand in support of Exercise Cobra Gold. In August 2004, First Sergeant Crabtree deployed to Iraq with Combat Logistics Battalion 31 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During this assignment he was meritoriously promoted to Lance Corporal and served as a Combat Engineer.

In July 2005, First Sergeant Crabtree reported to Marine Wing Support Squadron 272, Marine Corps Air Station New River, North Carolina. In August 2005, First Sergeant Crabtree deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During this assignment he was promoted to Corporal and served as a Team Leader.

In August 2007, First Sergeant Crabtree reported to Instructor Battalion, Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia. During this assignment he was promoted to Sergeant and served as a Demolition Range Instructor.

In November 2009, First Sergeant Crabtree reported to 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California. In October 2010, First Sergeant Crabtree deployed to Afghanistan with 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In March 2012, First Sergeant Crabtree deployed to Afghanistan with 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In November 2013, First Sergeant Crabtree deployed to New Zealand in support of Exercise Southern Katipo. During this assignment he was promoted to Staff Sergeant and served as a Squad Leader, Platoon Guide, Sappers Instructor and Facilities Chief.

In October 2014, First Sergeant Crabtree reported to Marine Wing Support Squadron 274, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina. During this assignment he served as the Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of Engineer Platoon. In June 2016, First Sergeant Crabtree reported to Marine Corps Engineer School, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. During this assignment he was promoted to Gunnery Sergeant and served as an Instructor, Construction Training Center Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge, Company Gunnery Sergeant and Company First Sergeant.

In June 2019, First Sergeant Crabtree reported to Combat Logistics Battalion 13, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California. In February 2020, First Sergeant Crabtree deployed to United Arab Emirates in support of Exercise Native Fury. During this assignment he served as Engineer Chief and was promoted to First Sergeant in January 2022.

In January 2022, First Sergeant Crabtree reported to his current post as the First Sergeant for Weapons Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California.

First Sergeant Crabtree's personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with two gold stars in lieu of third award, and the Combat Action Ribbon with one gold star in lieu of second award.
