Cpl. Andrew M. Oquendo, a scout with 2nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, Regimental Combat Team 5, pops out of his light armored vehicles' scout hatch at Camp Korean Village, Iraq, April 16. From photographer to infantryman, the 22-year-old from Paterson, N.J., separated from the U.S. Air Force to join the U.S. Marine Corps. "I knew what I really wanted to do, so I had to do whatever it took to achieve it," said Oquendo.
