Trauma room C, at Fallujah Surgical on Camp Fallujah. It has been unoccupied for some time now, due to a decrease in violence in the Anbar Province. However, it wasn't always like that. "During the push for Fallujah it was almost every day we had a combat casualty come here. One day the number of casualties outnumbered the staff and we had 115 people on board. I think we had approximately 117 casualties that day. Instead of mopping up blood, we are mopping up dust," said Fleet Marine Force Chief Jose E. Perez, a 36-year-old hospitalman, from Rio Honda Texas, Fallujah Shock and Trauma platoon.
