Marines stock up on dinar as souvenirs
Saddam Hussein might take little heart in knowing he's the rage when it comes to souvenir-hunting Marines. Marines here are stocking up small stacks of Iraqi dinar notes featuring the former dictator's likeness. Marines keep main supply route safe from attacks
Travel along a main supply route near Fallujah is a little less harrowing, thanks to vigilance of a few Marines. It's long and demanding duty, under the

Working dogs fight heat to fight terrorism
The hanging, drooling tongues of Santo and Rek, two military working dogs, is all the proof needed to show that the dog days of summer are here in Iraq. Fortunately for dogs assigned to Regimental Combat Team 1, they've got Cpls. Donald R. Paldino and Darin Cleveringa , trained dog handlers who've partnered with the pups for more than two years.

Marines provide for local community and themselves
Local Iraqis working on the camp here are not just keeping up with the daily chores, but also earning a consistent wage that's a scarcity to most. Marines from 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, enjoy showers and electricity because of the daily work of the Iraqis on the camp through local contracts. But Iraqis are benefiting too. They have
