Commander, Company A, 3D Assault Amphibian Battalion
Captain Brian A. Jaquith

Captain Jaquith is from King George, Virginia.   He enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve in June, 2000 and graduated from Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island in September, 2000.  Following Marine Combat Training, he attended the Small Arms Repair school and reported to Company D, 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 4th Marine Division in January, 2001.  In 2003, he was activated and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Captain Jaquith completed Officer Candidate School in August 2005 and graduated from George Mason University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice in 2006.  Captain Jaquith then attended both The Basic School and Assault Amphibian School .Upon completion of these courses, Captain Jaquith reported to 2d Assault Amphibian Battalion in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.

Upon checking into 2d Assault Amphibian Battalion, Captain Jaquith was assigned as an Assault Amphibian Vehicle (AAV) Platoon Commander in Company B.  In April of 2008, Captain Jaquith deployed to Ar Ramadi, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 8-1.

 After returning from this deployment, Captain Jaquith served as the Executive Officer, Company B.  In November, 2009, he deployed to Helmand Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom .

 In June 2010, Captain Jaquith returned from Operation Enduring Freedom and reported to The Basic School where he served as a Warfighting Instructor, Staff Platoon Commander and AAV Platoon Commander.  Upon the completion of his tour, Captain Jaquith then executed orders to Expeditionary Warfare School in June of 2013.

 After graduating school in May of 2014, Captain Jaquith reported to 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion and assumed duties as the Assistant Operations Officer until January, 2015 when he took command of Company A.  

In June 2010, Captain Jaquith returned from Operation Enduring Freedom and reported to The Basic School where he served as a Warfighting Instructor, Staff Platoon Commander and AAV Platoon Commander.  Upon the completion of his tour, Captain Jaquith then executed orders to Expeditionary Warfare School in June of 2013.

After graduating school in May of 2014, Captain Jaquith reported to 3d Assault Amphibian Battalion and assumed duties as the Assistant Operations Officer until January, 2015 when he took command of Company A.
