Sergeant Major Dubon enlisted in the Marine Corps on 7 July 2001, and attended Recruit Training in MCRD San Diego, California. Upon completion, he received training at Marine Combat Training School (MCT), Camp Pendleton, California. Following MCT, he reported to Marine Corps Combat Service Support Schools, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, graduating and receiving the MOS of 0121.
In January 2002, Private First Class Dubon reported to MWSS-171, MWSG 17, Iwakuni, Japan. He was assigned to the Installation Personnel Administration Center, where he served as an administrative clerk.
In January 2003, Lance Corporal Dubon transferred to Marine Corps Security Forces Battalion, Norfolk, Virginia, where he served as the Temporary Additional Duty clerk. He was meritoriously promoted to the rank of Corporal on 2 September 2003, he attended Corporals Course and was selected by his peers as the class Motivator and awarded the Gung-Ho award.
In January 2004, Corporal Dubon transferred to Marine Information Systems Support Office-2, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where he served as a Manpower Information Systems Analyst. While assigned to this command, Corporal Dubon attended the Intermediate Personnel Administration Course and was promoted to the rank of Sergeant on 1 April 2006.
In May 2006, Sergeant Dubon reported to 12th Marine Corps District, San Diego, California, where he served as the Pay Chief, Temporary Additional Duty chief and Unit Diary chief. While assigned to this command, Sergeant Dubon was recognized as the Marine of the year for 2008.
In January 2009, Sergeant Dubon attended Drill Instructor School Class 2-09, MCRD, San Diego, California, upon completion he was assigned to Company H, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion.
In July of 2009, he attended the Marine Combat Instructor of Water Survival course. In August of 2009, Sergeant Dubon was transferred to Recruit Training Regiment, Support Battalion to serve as a Water Survival Instructor. While serving as a Marine Combat Instructor of Water Survival, Sergeant Dubon attended the Martial Arts Instructors Course on MCRD, San Diego, California. He was also promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant on 1 February 2010.
In August 2010, Staff Sergeant Dubon returned to Company H, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion for duty as a Drill Instructor. While serving with Company H, Staff Sergeant Dubon completed 6 cycles.
In March of 2012, Staff Sergeant Dubon transferred to Training and Education Command, Quantico, Virginia to serve as an Administration Chief. While attached to TECOM, Staff Sergeant Dubon completed the Career Course in Quantico, Virginia, as a Distinguished Graduate and was placed on the Directors Honor Roll for Academic Achievement and was the Gung-Ho recipient.
In March 2013, Staff Sergeant Dubon transferred to Assault Amphibian School Battalion, Camp Pendleton, California to serve as the Administration Chief. While attached to Assault Amphibian School Battalion, Staff Sergeant Dubon was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant on 1 April 2014.
In January 2015, Gunnery Sergeant Dubon transferred to 2d Battalion, 5th Marines, Camp Pendleton, California to serve as Administration Chief. While attached to 2d Battalion, 5th Marines, Gunnery Sergeant Dubon completed two deployments, and in June of 2017 was promoted to the rank of First Sergeant.
In July 2017, First Sergeant Dubon transferred to Marine Corp Artillery Detachment, Fort Sill, Oklahoma to serve as the Battery First Sergeant.
In July 2020, First Sergeant Dubon transferred to 1st Landing Support Battalion (LSB), Combat Logistics Regiment-1, Camp Pendleton, California to serve as the Headquarters and Service Company First Sergeant. While attached to 1st LSB, First Sergeant Dubon was selected to serve as the Battalion Sergeant Major and was promoted to his current rank of Sergeant Major in November of 2021.
In November 2022 Sergeant Major Dubon transferred to 1st Radio Battalion, I Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, Camp Pendleton California to serve as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
In June 2025, Sergeant Major Dubon was transferred to 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division to serve as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader.
