A native of Washington State, Lieutenant Colonel Adams graduated from Walla Walla University and was commissioned in 2002.
In 2003, he was assigned to 1st Tank Battalion, Marine Corps Base 29 Palms, California. In 2004, he deployed to Operation IRAQI FREEDOM as a Tank Platoon Commander then again in 2005 as a TOW Platoon Commander.
From 2006 to 2009, he was assigned to Fleet Antiterrorism Team Company (FAST) Europe in Rota, Spain.
From 2010 to 2013, he was again assigned to 1st Tank Battalion where he performed duties as Battalion Logistics Officer, Commanding Officer of Company E, Company B, and Headquarters and Services Company. In 2011 he deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM.
From 2013 to 2016, he was assigned to Marine Corps Operations and Tactics Group (MCTOG).
In 2017, he was assigned to 2d Tank Battalion in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina where he performed duties as Battalion Operations Officer and Executive Officer.
From 2018 to the present, he is assigned as Executive Officer, II Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group (II MIG).
Lieutenant Colonel Adams is a graduate of the Expeditionary Warfare School and the Marine Corps Command and Staff College.
