A Message From 3/5 Family Readiness Officer
Dear Families of the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines,
On behalf of the Commanding Officer, Lt. Colonel Robert C. Rice, and the members of 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, I would like to extend a warm welcome to this prestigious unit. As a member of the “Darkhorse Family” you are part of a battalion with a proud history. I encourage you and your family to participate in the many community and Battalion Family Readiness events and activities. I assure you that 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines considers the safety and well being of our Marines and their families to be of utmost importance.
My name is Brenda Suarez and I am proud to be the 3/5 Family Readiness Officer. As your “FRO”, it is my mission to provide you with:
- Official Communication
- Information and Referral services
- Marine and Family Readiness and Deployment support
The Family Readiness Program continues to evolve, but at its core, it still holds true, that the increased personal and family readiness of its Marines and Sailors leads to increased unit readiness and the ability to support and carry our Marine Corps mission.
Please know, that along with the rest of our 3/5 Family Readiness Command Team, I am committed to making this program a success. With your assistance and support, together, we can make 3/5 a stronger and more resilient family.
Family Readiness Officer
