Marines honor corporal's heroic sacrifice
Recruits at the Corps' two recruit training depots will know Cpl. Jason L. Dunham. They will know that the 22-year-old Marine lived up to the Corps' largest legends and laid down his own life to save those of his Marines. Dunham, a machine gunner for Company K, 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment was memorialized by his battalion April 29th here.

Marines make big steps in small town
The Marines walking the streets called the patrol "routine," but hunting terrorists and building relationships in Iraq's small towns is turning out to be the most important mission of all. A patrol of nearly 20 Marines from 3rd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment's Weapons Company scoured the streets of Jury Jibb, a small village near the Iraqi-Syrian

Marines carry little flags in Iraq, thanks to Scouts
There was no question where Maj. Doug G. Luccio was going to keep his miniature flag made by Dylan Wyscaver, an Eagle Scout with Troop 130 from Golden, Colo. "I keep it in my left breast pocket," said Luccio, 1st Marine Division's assistant fire support coordinator and former Eagle Scout. "Right over my heart." The Portland, Ore., Marine received

Bench press equals stress press in Iraq
Packing on the pounds became a good thing for Marines here April 24. More than 40 servicemembers pushed, moaned and groaned their way through the first bench press invitational meet this year held by Marine Welfare and Recreational Services. It was an open contest Marines welcomed to break up the hum-drum of daily routines. "It's great to have
