Families and Friends of Company D,
On behalf of the company staff, thank you for everything you do to support your loved one in their pursuits as a Marine or Sailor. My wife and I are happy to be back at 1st Tank Battalion and Company D after a 3 year break in the supporting establishment. Your Marines have been extremely busy, and their hard work and effort have been impressive to watch. Company D has a proud tradition of excellence, and it is our challenge to maintain the high standards expected of us and be ready to take the fight to the enemy when called upon.
This team will only be successful with the support and welfare of those on the home front. I encourage you to reach out to Mrs. Jany K. Wasdin for any family readiness issue. From budgeting to new additions to understanding the military way of life, Jany can direct you to the organizations on base which can ease some of the worries and burdens that come with military life. Jany has been the linchpin for many families during multiple deployments over the years, and her experience within the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center is unmatched.
We understand that the military lifestyle is demanding. Our company staff, working alongside the Battalion’s Family Readiness Officer (FRO), is committed to family readiness as the company’s continued success depends on it. We are in the people business as an organization. Your continued support and dedication to your Marines and Sailors will help ensure their success, and that of the unit.
