Hello 1st Tanks family!
I am pleased to report aboard as your Chaplain. I hail from Redmond, Washington, and came to Twentynine Palms by way of Boston, where I did my graduate work at Boston University’s School of Theology, and Norfolk, VA, where I served as Staff Chaplain for the installation commander at Naval Station Norfolk. My work before the Navy included public policy and ethics education at a law firm, and several years running the Seattle seaplane terminal and air operations for a regional airline. My wife and I have two children, and we are excited to get to know the high desert region as well as the Marine Corps.
It is my belief that, as your Chaplain, my primary duty is to be with you where you are, in location, in life, and in faith, whatever your grade or MOS, whether active duty or family member. For the Marines and Sailors, that may mean being with you in the field or on the maintenance ramp. It also may mean coming alongside you and your family in whatever part of life you find yourself. I am here to be a resource for you, whether you think of yourself as a person of faith or not.
