From the Family Readiness Officer
Thundering Third Family,
Without a doubt this is a great opportunity I have to serve our Marines, Sailors, and their families. As a former Marine myself, I now find that I have the pleasure of continuing my service by helping each of our Thundering Third family and friends through a multitude of varying situations. One of the most important functions of the Family Readiness Officer (FRO) is Communication. I serve at the leisure of the Commanding Officer to help voice his direction and mission promulgating a robust Family Readiness Program. It is important to understand our primary means of communicating is through eMarine. 3/1 has an eMarine site where designated family members who have a Marine or Sailor assigned to the Battalion, can access regular updated information.
