Marines aboard boats land on an island on the Euphrates River near Haditha, Iraq, May 25. Marines with Company L, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 5 swept islands in the river for any enemy contraband. They also swept the riverbanks in search of weapons. It was the first time Marines in the company worked with sailors with Riverine Squadron 3, Detachment 3, RCT-5.
