Lance Cpl. Jordan R. Brand, 21, a machine gunner from Papillion, Neb., assigned to Company L, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 5, provides security while Marines with Company L patrol the Euphrates River on boats May 25. Marines on the shore provided security for Marines conducting cache sweeps on islands in the river near Haditha, Iraq.
