Sgt. Shaye Carter, platoon sergeant, Personal Security Detail, Regimental Combat Team-7, looks through the Portable Lightweight Designator/Rangefinder during a Fire Support Coordination Exercise as part of Enhanced Mojave Viper 7-12, July 24. Carter, the joint fires observer for PSD, coordinated with close air support to ensure simulated targets were properly destroyed.
