ARMY NATIONAL TRAINING CENTER FORT IRWIN, Calif. - A Marine with Delta Company, 1st Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, fires his weapon at an unknown distance target during a weeklong field exercise here, during Nov. 18 to Nov. 24, 2013. The targets ranged from 150 meters to 400 meters away. The Marines had to hit 80 percent of the targets to qualify and move on to more complex training. The Marines conducted a 175 mile road march from their home at Camp Pendleton to Fort Irwin to use the Army base’s training facilities.
