Staff Noncommissioned Officer in Charge, 1st Marine Division Band

Carlos Flores entered Marine Corps Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Training Depot, Sand Diego, California in November of 1992 after graduating from Highlands High in San Antonio, Texas. Upon completion of boot camp and combat training in February of 1993 he reported to the Quantico Marine Band in Quantico, Virginia as a tuba instrumentalist.
 
In 1997, Sgt Flores returned to Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego to attend Recruiters School. Upon completion he served as a Canvassing Recruiter in areas surrounding San Antonio, Texas. In 2000, SSgt Flores served as Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge in RS San Antonio, RSS Del Rio. Once again he reported to Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego in 2002 for the Career Recruiters Course.

In 2003 he received orders to Naples, Italy where he served as Operation Chief for the Allied Forces Band in Naples until 2007.That year, he received orders and reported to Okinawa, Japan to be part of the III Marine Expeditionary Force Band.

In 2008 he served as Guard Chief in support of exercise Key Resolve in Pohang, Korea. Within the same year he served as the Company 1st Sergeant for H&S Company, III Marine Headquarters Group. The following year he served as the Plans chief in support of exercise Cobra Gold with Combined Task Force North in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

In 2009 he took over as bandmaster for the III Marine Expeditionary Force band.
 
IN 2010 Master Sergeant Flores attended the Master Sergeant/1st Sergeant Leadership Seminar and completed the Unit Leader Course at the Naval School of Music in Norfolk, Virginia. 

In 2011, he reported to the 1st Marine Division Band in Camp Pendleton, California to serve as bandmaster. While with the 1st Marine Division Band, Master Gunnery Sergeant Flores deployed from 2012-2013as the Senior Enlisted Advisor in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with MAGTF Support Company, R4 Operations Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force. 

Upon return, he returned to the 1st Marine Division Band where he currently serves as the bandmaster.
